A customer based in the port district of St. Maarten gave Boels Portable Kitchens an order for a massive one-day event that involved, for example, cooking for more than 1000 people. Before coming to us, the customer initially looked for a suitable solution in the United States. However, a company that could meet all the wishes and requirements could not be found. Eventually the rental request came to Boels Portable Kitchens and we seized this great opportunity with both hands.
After a short preparation time, Boels Portable Kitchens took the pre-assembled units in containers to the port of Antwerp where they were loaded on a ship bound for St. Maarten. The containers were at sea for two weeks before arriving on the island.
In the port district of St. Maarten, a Boels Portable Kitchens technician placed and linked the kitchen units together and set up the mains services connections in close consultation with the customer. The kitchens functioned on site to the customer's complete satisfaction, which meant that Boels Portable Kitchens became part of a highly successful event.
For this event, the customer chose the following set-up:
- hot kitchen, 10 metres (including equipment);
- cold kitchen, 10 metres;
- dishwasher unit, 10 metres.
